...when there is a bee in your house?
My first reaction when the little bugger hovered beside me was to jump off my chair and yell, "Oh my god! There's a bee in my house!" Not really very helpful. So I went to the cabinet and tried to find something to spray it with. Probably not the greatest idea, but with kids in the house, I'd rather a pissed off bee sting me, than a child randomly getting too close and getting stung. Lucky for me, the bee had situated itself between the window and the blinds. I sprayed the crap out of that thing. I guess that is one way to get a bee out of your house... kind of. If Jason had been home, I would have made him take care of it.
What would you have done?

Linger
In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other. Now, in Linger, they must fight to be together. For Grace, this means defying her parents and keeping a very dangerous secret about her own well-being. For Sam, this means grappling with his werewolf past . . . and figuring out a way to survive into the future. Add into the mix a new wolf named Cole, whose own past has the potential to destroy the whole pack. And Isabelle, who already lost her brother to the wolves . . . and is nonetheless drawn to Cole.
At turns harrowing and euphoric, Linger is a spellbinding love story that explores both sides of love -- the light and the dark, the warm and the cold -- in a way you will never forget.
Comes out in stores everywhere July 20th. Pre-order here.

Pardon this Interruption...
I am sorry to inform you, but this blog will not be updated too frequently. I do not have the time in my day to update two blogs, take care of my family and home, write, and relax. Posts on this particular blog will not completely cease, but they will be few and far between.

Silly Kids...
My kids LOVE the webcam, so today, I decided to post some of their silly photos. They get the biggest kick out of seeing themselves on the computer screen and making silly faces.

Oops!
So much for that goal! Epic Fail!!
The holidays were crazy and fun. The kids really enjoyed themselves and we all spent a lot of time with family and friends. Lex recently got to talk to his Uncle Eric who is currently deployed. Of course, I had no idea how to get the webcam to work with Skype, so we could see him, but he couldn't see us.
Lex is getting so big. He is loving school and learning so much. He is getting better at writing his name and identifying letters as he sees them. He is starting to sound out some small words as well. He loves to play MarioKart on the Wii and is very good at it. He enjoys playing with cars and Transformers.
Eva is starting to talk more. She is saying please, thank you, Dora, Bell (for Tinkerbell... she is obsessed), kitty and lots more. She knows some animal sounds and loves to immitate a monkey. She loves to dance and dress up with her mardi gras beads and fairie costumes.
That is life in our house right: crazy, hectic, and tons of fun.
