I am sorry to inform you, but this blog will not be updated too frequently. I do not have the time in my day to update two blogs, take care of my family and home, write, and relax. Posts on this particular blog will not completely cease, but they will be few and far between.

Silly Kids...
My kids LOVE the webcam, so today, I decided to post some of their silly photos. They get the biggest kick out of seeing themselves on the computer screen and making silly faces.

Oops!
So much for that goal! Epic Fail!!
The holidays were crazy and fun. The kids really enjoyed themselves and we all spent a lot of time with family and friends. Lex recently got to talk to his Uncle Eric who is currently deployed. Of course, I had no idea how to get the webcam to work with Skype, so we could see him, but he couldn't see us.
Lex is getting so big. He is loving school and learning so much. He is getting better at writing his name and identifying letters as he sees them. He is starting to sound out some small words as well. He loves to play MarioKart on the Wii and is very good at it. He enjoys playing with cars and Transformers.
Eva is starting to talk more. She is saying please, thank you, Dora, Bell (for Tinkerbell... she is obsessed), kitty and lots more. She knows some animal sounds and loves to immitate a monkey. She loves to dance and dress up with her mardi gras beads and fairie costumes.
That is life in our house right: crazy, hectic, and tons of fun.

Photo Friday
I have a goal. I will post at least once a week on this blog. You may only get a photo every week, though.
Today, I will show off the little loves of my life.
My babies decorating the ceramic tree we got from my Great-Grandma Hilda (Grandma Linda made it for GG. GG gave it to me the year I had Lex).
My little ones playing in their "clubhouse"
They piled pillows and blankets in the corner under the counter by their kitchen set.

Too Funny
We had our annual lease renewal inspection yesterday (was supposed to be last Thursday, but it got rescheduled) so that meant deep cleaning. I went to bed the night before around 1230am after cleaning most of the night, I then got up with Jason (and Lex's screaming, I'll get back to that...) at 5am and cleaned until 830am. I was exhausted. Lex and Eva got up for the day around 930am and I could barely keep my eyes open. Lex asked, "What's wrong, Mommy?" I told him, "Mommy just worked her butt off." "Your butt?" I laugh, "Yup, guess I can't sit down since I worked my butt right off!"
Lex had woken up screaming at 5am because his ear hurt. This little guy has had so many ear infections that he doesn't tell me when his ears hurt, I usually just have to watch for his usual signs, sick eyes, little to no appetite, overly crabby... it has to hurt him pretty bad for him to tell me it hurts. I gave him some motrin and had him lay back down. I took him into the doctor that afternoon. Double ear infection, the left was more infected than the right. The left is the only one he says hurts. The doctor sent the prescription over to Target. We went over and killed about an hour to wait for the prescption to be filled. When we went to pick it up, my lack of sleep and over-exhaustion was getting the best of me. The fax had JUST gotten there... it was going to take another half hour before it was ready. I had to go home and sit down, so we left and waited for Jason to get home to pick up Lex's medicine. While I was paying for the medicine, I stood in front of Lex and he dropped something on the ground, so I picked it up and he laughs, "Mommy, you still have your butt!"
That was probably a lot longer than it needed to be...

And Life Got Away With Me...
Ok, it has been awhile since I've updated this blog, and I'm sorry. I can't promise this blog won't be forgotten again, but I promise to try and update at least once a month.
Well, Tuesdays are not terrible anymore, those two were flukes.
Eve has been attempting potty-training. She is obsessed with the picture of Dora on her Easy-Ups and that has helped fuel her along. Her first day, she only had two accidents. Of course, her excitement has died down a bit, so we are taking a break. We may try again within a week. She still doesn't say much, but oh boy! You should see the expressions this little girl has! She says, 'Mama', 'Mom mom', 'Dada', 'Buba (Brother)', 'Uh huh', and 'Dora'... she has said 'Jeff' and 'Yeah' a couple of times as well. I'm just waiting for the day she starts talking... it'll probably come out in sentences.
Lex started HeadStart last Monday and he really enjoys it. He doesn't really like the walk to his school, but once he is there, he enjoys it. He says that he made a new friend, Kodah. He is getting so big, last night he stood in front of me and said, "Mommy, I'm just getting so big! I keep growing everyday. Soon, I'll be as big as daddy!" It's sad because it is true. I wish I could freeze his growth for awhile and just keep him little a while longer.
Jason is still working with Christopher & Banks. He is looking for a security job and is looking to start school next semester.
Me, I've been filling the quiet portions of my day with writing. I have a novel in my head I need to get down on paper... or in the computer, rather. You can follow my journey here.
And that's all I've got for now.

Can I Just Say...
...I LOVE Sid the Science Kid and Super Why. Those are the only shows that completely capture Lex's attention throughout the entire show. I know I can play on the computer and have a distracted little boy, and he learns so much from those shows. Super Why helped him get better with his letter recognition. He was playing one of the Super Why games on PBSKids.org and he was able to finish the game completely on his own! He is growing up waaay too fast.
I had a garage sale with my mom two weekends ago, we didn't do too horribly; I ended the sale with around $150 and got rid of most of my big baby things we really didn't need any longer. WE still have a lot to get rid of so we will be having one more at the end of August. We decided that any of the toys that sold would be money for the kids. They got $10, so I doubled it and both the kids got to pick out a new toy. Lex got a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Eva got a Care Bear. The Care Bear was down the same aisle as the baby dolls and you should have heard Eve FREAK out when she finally noticed we were right next to the babies. I have never seen a little girl soooo into baby dolls. We had to get out of that aisle quickly, she already has plenty of dolls, considering she is barely over 1. I think she has about 10 baby dolls, probably more. We got to checkout and I seperated the toys from our items and handed Lex the cash, he looked so proud that he got to "buy" the toys by himself. It was adorable.
Time to get some cleaning done. Ick.
